History of Our Practice

Our family business started almost 30 years ago when our father Hank Haase joined Shearson Lehman in 1990.  At the time, this business was predominantly commissions-based and there was no real alternative to being a “stockbroker”.  Our Dad built a great business with solid relationships but a continued focus on transactions.

When Brandon joined Hank at Smith Barney in 2004, he helped implement a consultative approach to our practice, providing solutions beyond investments and focusing on managing overall relationships rather than individual stocks and bonds.

Shortly after Dad retired, Brandon moved to Steward Partners.  Steward is an independent, employee-owned firm that has allowed us to tailor the practice to best suit our clients and their needs.  Steward was only founded in 2013, but already has offices in over 19 cities and has become one of the largest independent advisory group associated with Raymond James.  In our role as fiduciaries, it is our responsibility and our privilege to act in the best interests of the client.  Our relationship with Raymond James provides concierge access to all of their resources, as well as the infrastructure of their technology and back office platforms.  It’s a winning combination of a young, innovative firm with an established robust infrastructure, focused on putting the client first.

Our family talked for a long time about joining forces.  Stephanie (Haase) Roberts joined her brother Brandon at Steward in January 2019.   As a team, Brandon and Stephanie are focused on systematizing our practice to ensure seamless service and high-level attention to our clients.  We believe that two heads are definitely better than one.  You can expect that the entire team is here to help with all parts of creating and fostering your wealth management objectives.
